Mr President (Our Dear Leader),
I recently learned from my son that his hours are going to be cutback from 39 hours a week to 29 hours a week. He was informed that the cut in hours was due to the "Affordable Care Act" or Obamacare. The employer was responsible to offer health insurance to employees working over 30 hours a week, so the company did the logical thing and cut hours. My son, up to now, was working enough to be just under 40 hrs so he could stay on my insurance while going to school. So i just wanted to thank you for allowing my son the extra time ,10 hours extra time a week, to look for the second job he now needs to find to make up for the money he will lose because of Obamacare.
Now some people will say it's the company's fault, because "they shouldn't be cutting hours", to get under the threshold so to avoid the requirement. I have learned a saying and I think it applies here..."DON'T HATE THE PLAYER, HATE THE GAME". The game has changed and now there are new rules. The company is just following the law as passed. I also know that this will create more jobs. With the massive cut in hours across the country, the work will still need to be done so that will mean more part time jobs for all. Part time jobs with not enough hours to make decent money and not qualify for health insurance. I makes me feel so good about the future knowing that people like yourself, Mr. President, are looking out for the peoples best interest.
